Significant Meeting with Canada Ambassador
The Iraq Canadian Chamber of Commerce visited numerous Iraqi government officials during a highly successful trade mission to Baghdad on October 2019
Additional meetings included the Canada Ambassador in Baghdad, to follow up and to discuss the business legal framework between Canada & Iraq, and current affairs.
The Ambassador confirmed that he is willing to support ICCCI fully whenever required, and he assured that Canada supports Iraq’s efforts to restore stability and effective governance, and encourage economic growth.
Today, Iraqi Canadian Chamber of Commerce & Industry is working with Canadian Government to help Canadian & Iraqi Small Business grow through trade and export opportunities.
Our discussion with Canada Ambassador in Iraq about the way of reducing barriers to exporting and give Canadian Companies a competitive advantage in Iraq through collaborating on medium infrastructure Iraq projects .

Successful Meeting With Iraqi Federation of Industries
Mr. Yasser Al Mimar, Mr. Wadah Al Taha and Raid Al Qaraghuli, led a successful workshop for the Iraqi Canadian Chamber of Commerce & Industry with a number of Board of Directors at Iraqi Federation of Industries in Baghdad
The purpose of the meeting to present the willing of government of Canada to supporting Canadian exporters and collaborate with Iraqi market.
Mr. Yasser Al Mimar said ‘It was a privilege to have a great presentation with Iraqi Federation of Industries. The Workshop was very successful through the active participation from both parties”
Therefore, to get businesses up in Iraq and to help industries succeed there, we’ve worked with partnered Iraqi Federation of Industries to establish a solid MOU that will help business to grow their cooperation with Canadian companies.
Meeting with International Utrasonic Technologies (IUT)
Last week the Iraqi Canadian Chamber of Commerce & Industry team had a great discovery workshop between Kerri McGrath IUT Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dr. Pedro Pereira, IUT Chief Technology Officer (CTO), and Yasser Al Mimar, the president of Iraqi Canadian Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
The meeting was held in Calgary Centre for Innovative Technology (CCIT), and the team discussed the challenges and opportunities in front of the Iraqi Oil and Gas industry.
Iraqi Canadian Chamber of Commerce brings together business & opinion leaders to address important issues in Iraqi oil and #gas sector through the projects and reports we have. Great to see our Canadian companies talking about how technology and Canadian ingenuity are driving its pursuit of enhance oil sector in Iraq. Another example of how Canadian Technology plays a huge role in the Oil and gas development.

Potential for Deploying Concentrated Solar Power Technologies
Iraq’s Ministry of Electricity and the National Investment Commission (NIC) are inviting bids for the construction of seven renewable power plants (solar PV energy projects) with a total capacity of 755 MW to increase production capacity and diversify energy sources. Interested parties will be able to bid and invest for 7 solar parks in Iraq.

Senior Advisor to the Iraqi Prime Minster met Mr. Yasser Al Mimar
From Canada to Iraq, Dr. Laith Kubba, Senior Advisor to the Iraqi Prime Minster met Mr. Yasser Al Mimar – President of Iraqi Canadian Chamber of Commerce & Industry. The discussion was about expanding the twin engines of economic growth in Iraq– trade and investment by transferring the Canadian technology to Iraq and increase trade & attract job-creating investment to Iraq.

Alberta Economic Development and Trade Meet ICCCI Team
