Investment Discussion with Canadian Trade Commissioner
last month, ICCCI’s team had a great exchanges of ideas with The Canadian Trade Commissioner team (Greg Mann & Jeff Hohn)
The heart of discussion was about the way of building a solid business relationship between Canada & Iraq, and what is the Canadian perspective and the opportunities to do business in Iraq, and the opinion that could help Canada to continues enhance its economy. The Canadian embassy in Baghdad and its office in Erbil work with the Iraqi government and other local and international partners. Canada has funded projects in Iraq as follows
For the period 2016 to 2019, Canada has committed over $260 million in assistance projects to Iraq, including:
- $179 million in humanitarian assistance
- $34 million in development assistance
- $48 million in stabilization and security assistance
